This week Edith, Ted and I spent a couple of days at the lake.  The cooler nights and rain freshened it up a little making it much more comfortable there.  :D  One of the days there was a Hood blimp flying by.

Then yesterday was family day at the CASE summer program so we went in to check out what Eleanor's been up to this summer.  They had made some Koolade and cereal snack mix.  Then they showed us some of their bowling skills.

After we saw E's awesome bowling skills we went to an assembly where we saw a lady playing guitar and singing.  Eleanor got to sit between her favorite twins.  :D  Abigail and Lily.
And Ted fell asleep.

Edith races the stroller down the ramp "experimenting"

Brother and sister, they love each other.  For now anyway.  ;)
We all took a walk today and landed at Dawns house where Edith raced the stroller down the ramp repeatedly.  It was her experiment to see where it would land.  We all had fun.

locks of love

A few months ago we cut Eleanor's hair and donated it to locks of love.  This cam for her in the mail today.  It's the confirmation that they received her hair.  It's very sweet.

So here is a story with an amazing outcome.
Edith and I went to the lake for a swim on Sunday afternoon.  On our way back we stopped by the frog pond to see if we could catch a glimpse of a big old bullfrog or something.  There were lots of beautiful blue dragon flies but not many frogs.  Anyway, I was taking pictures with my phone.  Edith kept saying "Don't hang over the edge you're gonna drop your phone".  Well I said "yeah I know you're probably right."  Wouldn't you know it I see a frog as we are leaving, lean over to take a picture and ploop right into the mucky green film of the the pond.  I had just recently upgraded too.  :(  I instantly spewed out at least 4 vulgar word and  quickly prepped myself for putting my hand into the green unknown of the water in hopes of retrieving the thing. I was able to find it pretty quickly considering I couldn't see anything through the green.  I popped the battery out.  It wasn't my first instinct so I was losing hope of ever using it again.  I brought it home, put it in a bag of rice and crossed my fingers.  The next day I turned it on.  It started up but the screen was all wrong and it wasn't responding to my touch and when the screen timed out I had to hold the power key down to restart it because it wouldn't come back on.  I charged it for a while and then put it back in the rice.  Each day it continues to mend itself.  Today the only trouble I had with it was moisture on the inside of the camera lens.  And now that's cleared up too.  I am so immensely relieved!!!!!!!!!!!!!   AND Lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got my first hydrangea blossoms.

We had a full day yesterday with 4th of July celebrations at Gramma Rose and Papa Harry's house.  Stacy and Pat brought fireworks and the pool was open so there was lots of swimming.  Even Joe, Ted and Eleanor got in the pool.  Edith and Dakotah had so much fun together!

Uncle Ryan held Ted for a few minutes on the porch at Gramis' house.

Today Eleanor starts her summer school classes.   :-)

Eleanor was looking good yesterday.  :)
We were out at the 99 for lunch with Gramis.  She had come up to watch the girls so Joe and I could go celebrate our friends Alyssa's 25th birthday at 7Nana.  It's a hibachi steakhouse.  It was delicious and fun.

Edith update- Last day of pre-school today, the class celebrated with a little ice cream party.  So it's off for the summer and on to kindergarten.  She's excited about that.   :-D

Eleanor update-last day of school for big E as well.  She has finished 3rd grade and will be in 4th (obviously) in the fall.  July 5th starts her summer session so we well be looking for some things to do for a couple of weeks.  Or more like people to visit.

Ted update-  he's growing like a weed!  Little Theodore will be 2 months old tomorrow.  He has his two month checkup in the morning so I will have updated stats on him after that.

I'm exhausted!  And Joe is excited.  He just got a computer part in the mail today that is supposed to make the computer start up super fast.  Life is to short to wait for start up.   :-P
Good night

Had a very relaxing time visiting friends and family this fathers day weekend.  I wish they could all be this good.
It was also Joe's first biological fathers day.  :D  but he's been an awesome step father to Edith and Eleanor for a few years.
Right now Edith is giving him a cardboard glow in dark Star Wars cutout that she found on the floor on Friday.  He's pretending he loves it and had never seen it before.  Lol!  :D  I love him!  :D

There is so much to write and I'm mostly too tired to organize my brain to write it down.  So I might just do a couple of key points and not go into elaborate details.

-Moved the fridge and pantry type things plus the bakers wrack and then painted the kitchen "sweet carrot".  It's like a whole new kitchen.  I still have to paint the trim.
-Eleanor got her new glasses which makes her look like a young lady.
-She started her first day of 3rd grade in Lincoln yesterday.  :D  She's such a big girl now.
-Bob Morehouse is the bus driver this year.  Yay Bob.  I kinda of miss Elna though too.  But Yay Bob!
-Here is the best one though.  Irene took Edith, Eleanor and myself to the butterfly place.  It was SO COOL!!!  There where tons of butterflies flying all over the place and landing on you.  It was really neat!!  the following are some of the shots I got with my phone, since I forgot to bring my camera.  They came out pretty good anyway.  :D

These pictures don't do the place justice.  Irene got some good ones with her camera.  I just haven't put them on the computer yet.

Life seems to be buzzing by at an unbelievable pace these past couple of weeks.  Hopefully things will slow down just a bit soon.  My favorite time of year is the fall and I just hope it doesn't flash by too quickly!
